The map looks good, and its good to hear that the maps may be interactive, beyond just switches and turrets.

Although the bridge here looks a little boring. http://ascension-game.com/index.php/...=&sort=i.added
Its just so plain. I hope you're going to say its not done, because I see pretty much no texture. Everything is also very flat, wouldn't it make sense for some interiors to be built around skiing? I don't mean to sound mean, but I think you can do better (I will accept only the best from those who brought us Renegades).

Oh! Didnt even notice a update. I like that top view of that mountain. Seems Crysis like. That factory map looks very different from alot of previous maps I've seen in the pics of Ascension, which is good. Keep up the good work and keep updating for us!

What are the specs of the comp that those screenshots were taken on?

Danderson, while i agree that the bridge looks a bit flat the main problem for the level designers is the fact that GG uses t2 era bsp code so there basically making t2 interiors so the level designers have to do a major balancing act between the look of the level in terms of complexity and lag .. and i can tell you that exadon probably works mostly on figuring out how to reduce lag in the level more than anything.

that said i hope he can add a little more detail to the bridge as well

also you have any ideas for what kindof detail he should add ?

Yes I agree alot of my map looks flat.
Part of this is due to textures that I am using...

I don’t want to say too much, but I will say that I am working on normal maps and making my own textures, and waiting for more textures from different parts of the team.

So not much of the textures you see in the screen shots are final.
As far as what type of computer was used to take the screen shots? A computer that does not have a compliable video card, that’s all I will say about that

Allot of my map is still in it's early stages. I am glad you think overall that it looks good, and you don’t sound mean.

As far as building a building around skiing…I have mix feelings about that. Tribes 2 never really had buildings built around sking…just buildings that made

it easy for people to jet inside… I almost like this better then building giant ski-ramps…I almost feel that should be left for levers who make levels for us after the game is out.

But we will see, nothing Is final

oh...and a P.S. That "inside the factory" shot is not inside the factory at all, thats inside some mini base lol...
