Got the idea from playing Halo 3.
2 Teams, HOWEVER, Team 2 has all of the players and Team 1 host the lone Ninja. The objective of the match is for the ninja to kill as many player from Team 2 as possible without being killed. To make things a lot easier for Team 2 to kill the Ninja, every time the ninja attacks a player, he becomes visable for a amount of time and is indicated on every Team 2 players radar (So no hiding inside building and picking off straglers who happened to wander away from the group...^_^). He will not become exposed if a player fires on him, only if he fires back. He (the Ninja) will remain on the radar for 30 seconds, or until he gets killed (Duh! he cant "be" on the radar if hes dead! XD) After the Ninja recieves his death sentence (Lol), the player who killed him switches teams with the now dead Ninja and all players are respawned on their coresponding side of the map. The ninja (If it is possible in the game to do this...) moves slower than the rest of the players, but only slightly. He also takes a damage penalty (does less damage) to the front of players, but behind the back kills are 1 hit KO (He still would show up on radar) The normal players should have a bit more powerful weapons, but should not have a great advantage towards the Ninja, seeing as they have more team members anyway. (Its teamwork! XD) Scoring: Each player the Ninja kills counts as 2 points. Each Time a player kills th Ninja, he recieves 5 points as well as becoming the next Ninja.

This is a Juggernaut gametype, huh? Well, I don't think it would be bad (it's hard to say without having played Ascension yet). Don't expect the devs to put it in, but I would expect many third-party gametypes of all kinds to come out (assuming Ascension has a player base).

ELF + friend = dead ninja.
now there is a stratergy. EDIT: the point of this is to show that just because the ninja is invisible if everyone is hunting for him they can very easily do it with an elf, then they can pin him down while a friend kills him. Last edited by schmalx : 03-13-2008 at 11:50 PM. |

Interesting idea. Rabbit with an invisible rabbit. We've had a couple variations on rabbit submitted so far.
I'm thinking that elf might wipe this gametype out - any ideas? Perhaps no elf for this gametype?

There is this exact(well almost) gametype on halo3 called Ninjanaut
but the ninja moves extremely fast, is invisible and dosnt regen health

darn! I almost got a beta spot! tarts! I really wanted it too!
And yeah, halo did inspire this game type, except in halo 3 the ninja is almost impossible to kill...400% speed Vs. every body else is crazy!
